Hoxx TV - Entertainment that follows every screen
A streaming experience that stretches from the phone to the TV, with login, profiles, catalog, playback, subtitles, lists and plans.
One continuous experience between mobile and TV
We built a streaming experience that stretches from the phone to the television, with login, profiles, catalog, playback, subtitles, languages, lists and plans. The same proposal follows the user across moments and devices.
Making the switch between screens feel natural
Our challenge was to respect what is particular to mobile and TV without breaking the logic of the journey, keeping it consistent to discover, choose and watch on any screen.
Project facts
Client: Hoxx TV (Net Gospel Prime)
Platform: iOS and Android app and Smart TV app
Year: 2023
X-Apps role: Built from scratch and published to the stores
A simple way in
On the phone, login opens the account in the fewest steps, and it is the same account that later shows up on the TV.
Information that follows the person
Profile selection separates what each person in the household watches, so lists and resume points belong to whoever is using it.
Everything starts here
The home presents the catalog in highlights and rows, the starting point for discovering what to watch.
Finding got easier
Search goes straight to the title the person already has in mind, without walking through the whole catalog.
Discover before watching
The title detail gathers synopsis, information and the watch action, to decide before pressing play.
Content front and center
The player keeps the controls discreet and the content in evidence, on the phone and on the TV.
Watch your way
Language and subtitles are one tap away inside playback, to adjust without interrupting what is being watched.
Find something to watch
Categories organize the catalog by genre and theme, a discovery path beyond the home highlights.
Save for later
My list keeps the titles picked to watch later, and follows the profile on any screen.
Control always available
Settings concentrate account, preferences and profiles, without hiding what the person needs to adjust.
Choose how to continue
The plans screen presents the subscription options clearly, so the choice is made with the terms in view.
The same experience on the television
The TV version repeats the phone's logic: activate the device, choose the profile, discover, watch and adjust. What changes is the distance from the screen and the remote control, and the interface was designed for that.
Connect the experience to the TV
Activation links the television to the account from the phone, with no password typed on the remote.
Information that follows the person
Profile selection on the TV brings the same profiles as the phone, with each person's lists and resume points.
Everything starts here
The TV home presents highlights and rows at living-room scale, with navigation designed for the remote.
Find something to watch
Categories on the TV organize the catalog by genre and theme, with a visible focus on each selected item.
Save for later
My list appears on the TV with the titles saved on the phone, ready to continue where it left off.
Finding got easier
Search on the TV uses an on-screen keyboard designed for the remote, with results updated at every letter.
Content front and center
The TV player lets the content fill the whole screen and shows the controls only when the remote is used.
Discover before watching
The title detail on the TV gathers synopsis, information and the watch action, following the phone's logic.
Watch your way
Language and subtitles stay accessible during TV playback, without leaving the content to adjust.
Control always available
Settings on the TV concentrate account, preferences and profiles, in the same place they are on the phone.
Choose how to continue
The plans screen on the TV presents the subscription options with terms readable from a distance.
